4. Randy Orton vs Shawn Michaels (Survivor Series 2007)

This match was the highlight of an otherwise ordinary, if not disappointing, show. Perhaps this is the reason that the match is barely talked about or perhaps it gets lost amongst the sea of great matches that Orton and Michaels have had in their careers. Regardless of why this one doesn't get the kudos it deserves it the match itself is technically brilliant and has a compelling storyline to boot. The stipulation was that if Orton was disqualified he would lose his championship but if Michaels used Sweet Chin Music then he too would be disqualified and lose the match. Since he couldn't use his own finisher Shawn nicked several other famous finishers in an attempt to win the title. The finish is a great piece of wrestling psychology: Shawn, having used every other finisher to no effect, instinctively goes for the superkick but hesitates and leaves himself wide open for the RKO. Shawn did get a measure of revenge after the match when he was finally able to hit Orton with the sweet chin music. One of the best matches of 2007.
