10 Underutilised WWE Stars Who Would Excel In Lucha Underground

10. Neville

Before Neville made the step up to the main roster, there were rumors going around claiming he was going to debut with a Mighty Mouse like gimmick, complete with a mask. The way his career has gone since then, that might not have been that bad of an idea.

After graduating from NXT, Neville was a featured talent for awhile. He received a nice program teaming up with Stephen Amell to take on Stardust and Wade Barrett at SummerSlam, but after that, he hasn’t done much of note.

He’s currently returning from an injury, but there doesn’t seem to be any signs of WWE prepping him for a big push. His Lucha equivalent right now would probably be Son of Havoc. Havoc is a smaller wrestler, but he moves incredibly fast in the ring, pulling off crazy high-flying moves with ease. He was looked over by WWE, but has quickly won over fans in The Temple, becoming one of their most popular babyfaces.

Neville may yet succeed in WWE, but he may also be relegated to an Evan Bourne-like role, in which he’s used to put up a good fight, but is there to put others over. The Man That Gravity Forgot is worth more than that. The Temple is calling him.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
