There are few situations in wrestling that went more underutilized than that of the Hart Foundation in WCW. Fresh off of the Montreal Screwjob WCW found themselves with a slew of new talent. The company had already planned on the arrival of Bret "The Hitman" Hart following WWE Survivor Series. Due to the incidents of that show, they were also able to acquire both Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, as well as "The British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith. One would think that WCW would push this red hot stable to the moon and print money with an established group. Nothing remotely close to that happened. Bret Hart's WCW run was inconsistent at best and Neidhart and Bulldog were lower card filler. Although Owen Hart was left behind in the WWE, the WCW had fellow Canadian Chris Jericho at their disposal who would have made a more than suitable replacement. For so long the WCW looked for an answer to follow up the WCW vs. New World Order storyline, which ended in the nWo splintering into two entities. If the Hart Foundation had been pushed, the landscape of the entire show would have been drastically different.
