10 Most Undeserved WWE Burials Ever

4. Kofi Kingston

Everybody remembers the night Kofi Kingston reached his peak in the WWE. The year was 2009 and he had been embroiled in a rivalry with Randy Orton that saw him really breaking out of his shell and showing glimpses of a bright future. Not only was he cutting solid promos against Orton, but he was part of a couple of signature moments including destroying Randy€™s car and delivering a massive Boom Drop to Orton in Madison Square Garden. He picked up victories over Randy Orton and even wrestled him on a Pay-Per-View, and things were certainly looking up for Kofi. He had finally gotten a chance to run with the big boys, and was making the absolute most of it. Regrettably, Kofi would see his great run stopped when he blew a spot in a Raw match with Randy Orton, which caused Randy to throw a hissy fit in the ring. From that point forward, Kofi€™s ascent had been halted and he remained where he had been for years; the guy always in the running for the Intercontinental and United States Championships. For a while there it seemed like he€™d break through that ceiling but one honest mistake completely stalled his momentum. The fans who had been in to him during that run lost interest when it became clear the WWE had no intention of making him a serious contender in the WWE€™s landscape. Things have recently taken a turn for the worse, as he isn€™t even considered a constant threat to win the secondary titles. He€™s become the go to guy to job to people like Rusev or other heels the company is trying to build up. The only time he gets any attention at all is during battle royals, as his ways of avoiding elimination have become somewhat of a staple for those matches. That being said, he was eliminated during the commercial break of Monday€™s battle royal, so even his position as the go to spot monkey seems to be in jeopardy. He€™s slowly but surely being buried lower and lower on the card.
