10 Unexpected WWE Moments Caught On Camera

2. Jerry Lawler's Heart Attack

Anyone watching the 10 September 2012 episode of Raw will get a shiver up their spine when recalling Jerry Lawler's heart attack at ringside. Shortly after working a tag match on the show, Lawler audibly dropped off commentary and started snoring through his headset next to Michael Cole.

Moments later, Cole stopped announcing the Team Hell No vs. Prime Time Players match happening in the ring and worried his colleague might be dying. Medical staff acted quickly, and that saved Lawler's life. He was whisked to hospital and Cole did an admirable job of carrying the broadcast without knowing if his friend was alive.

Viewers watching at home might have spotted that Lawler was being tended to by a medic mid-match. The attack came out of the blue, rightly left Cole rattled and had the wrestlers in the ring glancing over at the announce desk in between moves.

They, like fans, had no way of knowing what was going on or the severity of Lawler's problems.
