10 Unexpected WWE Moments Caught On Camera

7. Daniel Puder Taking Down Kurt Angle

Even the most casual of fans know that wrestling requires complete cooperation between two or more parties in order to work. Apparently, nobody told young Daniel Puder about that before the 4 November 2004 edition of SmackDown. In fairness, WWE were stupid enough to book a shoot-fighting segment.

Wound up by the unscripted nature of the skit (designed to promote Tough Enough, the "reality" show Puder was a contestant on), Puder locked Kurt Angle in a Kimura submission hold after the WWE star had taken him down to the mat.

That's when things got serious.

WWE referee Jim Korderas quickly counted to three and the announcers said Angle had pinned the young upstart. Anyone watching could tell that Puder had actually locked in a hold that might well have broken Kurt's arm if the officials hadn't intervened. Puder got his 'comeuppance' a few months later at the Royal Rumble, receiving a stiff beating from Angle's pals Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero and Bob Holly.
