10 Unique Pitches To Save Struggling AEW Stars

1. Kamille

How is Kamille already worthy of being on this list?! She just debuted in July and has wrestled a whopping six matches for the company, but has people like Konnan calling out how terribly she's been booked so far.

From the onset, something was wrong. AEW sat on her for months after she had signed and finally put her on television to be paired with Mercedes Moné, but somehow, the most basic "enforcer for a heel" storyline was botched almost immediately.

It's a simple formula when done correctly, but you can't have a weasel heel get help from a bodyguard if you book the bodyguard to fail at their job and Moné is out there winning matches on her own. That, plus Kamille's injury and quick loss to Kris Statlander, neutered The Brickhouse as a completely ineffective henchwoman.

Everything was rushed, as if Tony Khan wanted to start the angle and skip straight to the finish without letting it build, so nobody could grow to care about Kamille, let alone be invested enough to salivate at the thought of her getting revenge on the TBS champion.

At this point, with her injury already a talking point and this total dud of a false start, the only way to rehab Kamille is to wait a while, play into the idea of her quitting, and have her come back months from now, pretending like nothing happened and try again from scratch not as anyone's bodyguard, but as a dominant former NWA women's champion.
