10 Unique WWE WrestleMania Statistics
2. WrestleMania 32 Featured None Of The Previous Years Champions
2015 was an absolutely insane year in that the injuries accumulated between Manias 31 and 32 truly beggared belief. Due to this, multiple matches originally planned for WrestleMania 32 were reworked or outright scrapped. Rumoured matches and moments Bray Wyatt vs. Brock Lesnar, Undertaker vs. Sting and Neville winning the Intercontinental Championship in the big ladder match that year were all clamped.
What is most insane about this plague of injuries was that every single superstar that walked out of WrestleMania 31 as champion did not compete in a match at WrestleMania 32. Working through the ranks: Diva's Champion Nikki Bella was out of action with a neck injury, Tag Team Champions Cesaro and Tyson Kidd were out with a torn rotator cuff and a career-ending spinal injury respectively, United States Champion John Cena underwent shoulder surgery, and Intercontinental Champion Daniel Bryan's concussion related problems forced him into temporary retirement.
As for the winner of WWE's biggest prize, Seth Rollins, who pulled off the heist of the century by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract during the main event, blew out his knee during a November house show, tearing several muscles and forcing him to relinquish his WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Injuries are an occupational hazard in the wrestling world, but the shear volume of them to some of the biggest stars in the industry was something else.
