10 Unlikely Wrestling Faction Members That Totally Worked
2. Jamie Noble/Joey Mercury (The Authority)
When fans think of The Authority, they tend to think of three names: Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and Seth Rollins. If pressed for more, most would dart to Corporate Kane and maybe Randy Orton as members. It's a shame that hardly anyone would name drop Jamie Noble (boy) or Joey Mercury as assets to the stable.
Rollins would though.
Seth used Noble and Mercury as his private bodyguards after turning on his old Shield buddies to join up with Hunter and Steph. "J&J Security" weren't just extras who could be tossed into the firing line when things got hairy - they were also guys Rollins could order around after he'd been given his marching orders by the power couple on top.
If Stephanie bashed Seth for something that happened, then he could turn around and hit down. Mercury and Noble got it in the neck a few times, but they worked well as twin protection for the on/off WWE Champ. This gig extended both of their careers on camera.
