10 Unofficial Rules That Exist In WWE Today

9. Everything Needs Approval

WWE

Thinking outside the box? Got a new move? A new design or logo for wrestling gear? For talents, the answer's always the same, "Is it approved?". It's understandable for WWE to have a proper chain of command and approval process, but what isn't sensible is for it to apply to everything under the sun. It comes down to creative freedom.

In WWE, everything needs to be approved before a talent can even consider using it on television, but is that really necessary? God knows today's performers get enough training and brainwashing education from WWE the moment they sign with the company that the talents should have a pretty good understanding of what it likes and dislikes by the time they make it to the main roster.

If the talent isn't capable or worthy of being given some freedom with their character and letting them run with it, then why are they even employed? It would be like if the Premier League or the NFL suddenly wanted the owners to approve every play before it gets run on the field - isn't that the point of hiring coaches? And don't you trust the players to execute properly? They know the rules, they know the goals, they know the purpose, now let them do it. It's the same thing for talented professional wrestlers that make it all the way to RAW; if they're good enough and smart enough to have made it that far, shouldn't they be given some faith? It's amazing how many people that want to do certain jobs are actually good at doing certain jobs without needing to run every minor detail up the chain of command.
