10 Unofficial Rules That Exist In WWE Today
7. Talent Sometimes Rises To The Top
"The cream always rises to the top," has been one of WWE's favorite sayings over the years, but in reality, it's been a long time since that's been true. Too many gifted, top-level talents have gone their entire careers without even sniffing a real main event. Superstars like Tyson Kidd, Cesaro, Natalya, and Dolph Ziggler are just a few examples of talents that were among the most talented performers in WWE but never positioned as such. Though their careers are not over, WWE's misuse of these talents have only helped dispel the myth that the cream always rises to the top.
Daniel Bryan and Finn Bálor are examples of times when the best talents have enjoyed success, but the new rule should read "The cream sometimes rises to the top." While there have been some superstars in years past that WWE has missed the boat on, the rate at which they are missing on blatantly obvious, immensely talented performers today is alarming. If WWE always operated this way then superstars like Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, and Steve Austin might never have reached the heights they did. The company might be a totally different one than what it is today although they often seem to be hell-bent on reaching that destination anyway.
