10. La Parka
There were a glut of Mexican luchadors on WCW's books in the mid-late 90s. Only a few of those, such as Rey Mysteiro Jr., Juventud Guerrera and Eddie Guerrero, ever truly stood out. The rest, meanwhile, were condemned to a life of six-man tags on shows like WCW Saturday Night and Thunder. The skeleton suit-wearing La Parka started to break out from the pack, thanks in large part to his 'chairman of WCW' gimmick, where he would basically use a steel chair in myriad entertaining ways. For example, he would often stand on top of the chair in the middle of the ring, play air guitar and then strike a pose. Try not to pop for that one. It was a cute act, but Parka could get it done in the ring as well. Because he was noticeably bigger than his usual opponents, he would be used as a sturdy 'base' for them to execute their spectacular high-flying moves on. The dude could fly himself, possessing a beautiful twisting moonsault and other awe-inspiring attacks in his arsenal. Crucially, Parka could look credible against heavyweights like Randy Savage and Buff Bagwell. The 'Skull Captain' left the company in 2000, not long after the company started a gimmick where they would play someone else's English voice over Parka when he was cutting a pre-match promo.
