7. San Andreas
The Rock is on fire right now. The man has been referred to as 'Franchise Viagra' due to his ability to, erm, prop up film franchises and make them even more money. The man is box-office gold and everything he touches these days seems to make millions and millions of dollars worldwide. His next big film, along with Fast and the Furious 7, is San Andreas. It is an action-adventure disaster film where The Rock plays a rescue-helicopter pilot searching for his daughter in the aftermath of a huge earthquake. The budget is around $100m and the film also stars the likes of Paul Giamatti and, somewhat bizarrely, pop royalty Kylie Minogue. So why should you look forward to San Andreas. Because, well, it's The Rock. Even if the film turns out to be a dud, Dwayne Johnson is always incredibly watchable. Although there promises to be a lot of The Rock dodging explosions and saving people from certain death, the familial subject matter may also give him an opportunity to show some dramatic chops.
