1. Dune - Batista

Yes, they're remaking and Dune and yes, of course, they've found a role for Batista in it. After he's found a home in the MCU, James Bond, Blade Runner and his own slew of trashy/awesome action genre faire, his standing as one of Hollywood's most dependable characters actors is firmly, firmly locked in.

If the title means nothing to you, Dune was the sci-fi epic that should have become an absolute beacon of the genre but was just... christ how do I explain it. Some parts were way ahead of their time, others way behind it, and all of them were the wrong way around. Imagine if Blade Runner had gone for 50s noir dialogue and space-age visuals (so everything's shiny and Decker calls women "dames"), instead of the other way around? Yeah? Wouldn't work would it? That's Dune's problem.

The remake though, which has Denis Villeneuve at the helm and stars - brace yourself - Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Zendaya, David Dastmalchian, Jason Momoa, Javier Bardem and Dave Batista.
