Poor old Hideo Itami has had a rough time of it in NXT.

The former KENTA has spent more time on the treatment table than in the ring, but returned from his latest injury with aplomb this year, immediately challenging Bobby Roode to an NXT Title match. Itami failed, however, and after losing cleanly at TakeOver: Chicago, he unleashed his frustrations on the unsuspecting locker-room.

Kassius Ohno was there to try and calm him down, but it didn’t work. Hideo stormed out of the room, leaving the tension hanging in the air, and if the latest set of tapings is anything to go by, his heel turn is imminent. The match isn’t booked yet, but it looks like we’re headed towards Itami vs. Ohno, and if that’s the case, NXT fans should be very, very excited.

Neither man has been able to show their strongest work on the developmental brand, but they’re both among the best in the world on their day. Their shared fighting spirit and hard-hitting styles should bring out the best in each other, and if WWE give them a good spot on a TakeOver card, they’re going to tear the house down.
