10 Ups & 0 Downs From AEW Dynamite (April 14)

4. A Complete Bunch Of Douchebags

The Young Bucks
AEW

This week's contribution from The Young Bucks deserves to be split into two separate points, so check later in the article for comments on their match with PAC and Rey Fenix.

Character-wise, Matt and Nick knocked it out of the park in their backstage segments. Their show-opening promo saw them claim that they chose friendship, thanking Jon Moxley for pushing them over the edge, adding that while they hadn't been their old selves since AEW started up, the audience was about to be introduced to a newer, better version of the Jacksons.

Later, they joined up with Don Callis, Kenny Omega, and The Good Brothers in the parking lot. Another fine promo followed. Matt claimed that any team wanting a shot at them had a BTE Trigger with their name on it after Kenny had affirmed that his new group had grown sick of doing what people wanted them to do. Don, meanwhile, told the world to be prepared to be surprised again.

Great stuff across the board here, as the Bucks in particular made good for last week's over-acting. The Jacksons desperately needed to regain some goodwill after that poorly-received main event and were suitably obnoxious throughout the show (in the right way).
