AEW announced they had signed Brodie Jr to a contract before Dynamite even happened, but Tony Khan had another surprise for the eight year old live on air. The AEW owner appeared with the TNT Championship, handed it to the kid and called him “TNT Champion for life”.

Though the belt will continue as part of company lineage (it's still officially held by Darby Allin), that design will stay with Lee's family; Tony Schiavone revealed on Dynamite's post-she that AEW plan to create a new belt for Allin. The 'classic' one is now Brodie Jr's for good.

It's hard to grudge the little guy this moment.

Lord only knows what he's been through recently. After losing his dad during Christmas time, he had to brave face it in front of the entire wrestling world and celebrate his father's legacy. Congratulations, young man. You deserve this kind of kindness.
