9. Swerve In Our Glory Get Blindsided

'Smart' Mark Sterling and Tony Nese vs. Swerve Strickland could have been a distracting, Sports Entertainment nightmare, given the clichéd, Raw Lite nature of the previous week's championship celebration segment, but it ended up getting the job done with minimal fuss.

Strickland and Nese were granted only a short runtime but worked some pro wrestling magic nonetheless. This should have been expected from two wrestlers so skilled and they kept their sequences crisp and tight while building to Sterling's inevitable comeuppance. Logic dictated a story revolving around the chickensh*t lawyer avoiding engagement at all costs before eventually eating the dirt, which happened via head kick and quick pinfall.

Josh Woods, now aligned with Sterling and Nese, laid out the onlooking Keith Lee in the back while this was going on. Swerve got distracted by this, allowing Nese to clock him from behind. 'The Premier Athlete' dumping one of the tag straps on his conquerer's body suggests our next World Tag Team Title program is at hand.
