10 Ups & 0 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Nov 4)

4. Young Bucks & Private Party

Private Party and The Young Bucks worked an awesome, all-action flippydoo bout on Dynamite's second episode ever, with Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen picking up an elevatory victory in the AEW Tag Team Title tournament. Enough time had passed between then and last night's rematch to make it feel fresh, exciting, and perhaps an upgrade on the Shawn Spears/Scorpio Sky bout it replaced, though the teams went down an entirely different road this time.

Yes, the bout came with the expected shots of adrenaline, but it was more about Matt Jackson's injured ankle than anything else. A problem that will definitely play into Full Gear's bout with FTR took a toll on the elder Buck. His selling performance was strong, as he hobbled and shambled around the ring from the very first bell, sapping his offense.

Winning via BTE Trigger was the right move for the Bucks ahead of their Tag Team Title challenge. Afterwards, and effective post-match angle saw FTR attempt to Pillmanize the damaged ankle once more, only for Kenny Omega and Hangman Page to make the save, teasing, perhaps, that The Elite aren't quite as finished as they once seemed.
