10 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Dynamite (Apr 29)

9. Reach For The Sky: Part II

Scorpio Sky
AEW

Last night's continuation of Scorpio Sky's Journey to AEW wasn't as good as the first part as it didn't necessarily tell us anything we didn't already know. Regardless, it was a strong goal-setting promo from a guy who could probably have benefitted from this treatment earlier in his run, but will likely get another crack at singles stardom regardless.

Sky said that he came into SoCal Uncensored when Frankie Kazarian and Christopher Daniels were looking for their third man. He jumped at the chance, having looked up to them for much of his career, though he was a little intimidated and didn't want to become a third wheel. Things got a whole lot easier when the Worst Town bit got over, however. Eventually, when he got his AEW World Title match, Scorp felt he was where he was supposed to be, but he isn't satisfied with "just being there": the guy wants to become "a f*cking legend."

Few could have called Scorpio emerging as one of AEW's breakout babyface when the promotion was born. Here he is, though, staking his claim for a second run at the top convincingly.
