10 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Fight For The Fallen (Jul 15)

All Elite Wrestling's three-week run of mini-PPVs concluded with last night's Fight for the Fallen show, with the latest Dynamite special hitting similar quality levels to the Fyter Fest two-nighter.

These events have been excellent. The Empty Arena Era's usual ceiling hasn't come into play, with the high points high enough to transcend any concerns relating to the lack of crowd noise. Besides, the increased volume of people inside Daily's Place has created an atmosphere more like an independent show than the Moon-like vibes one usually associates with the global health crisis, though concerns relating to social distancing and wearing masks are more than warranted.

Brian Cage and Jon Moxley finally contested the AEW Championship after their bout was pulled from Fyter Fest's second night in the wake of Renee Young's positive test result. A feud brought to a new level by Taz's excellent microphone work was blown off and another rose in its place, as a face familiar to both Cage and Moxley returned to make his presence felt.

Elsewhere, we got Cody defending the TNT Championship versus Sonny Kiss, a first-time tag team dream match pitting FTR against the Lucha Brothers, Kenny Omega losing his mind, more Elite split teases, and some huge Four Horseman hints.

Let's light the fuse...
