10 Ups & 12 Downs For WWE In 2020 (So Far)
7. The Empress Of Today

Few wrestlers have shone without crowds like Asuka, who has been one of the sport's most engaging performers through this whole mess, regardless of promotion.
She already was, of course, but didn't always get the chance to show it. Now, the Raw Women's Champion is on fire. Her broader, piss-taking personality, increased vocalisations, and dynamic performances make her a default highlight on every show she appears on, regardless of the role she's asked to play, and nobody has been more consistent between the ropes in 2020.
Only Daniel Bryan and perhaps AJ Styles can challenge her body of work here. High-level matches with Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair, fun tag matches, and good-to-very-good TV scraps against the likes of Liv Morgan, Ruby Riott, and more have re-established Asuka as WWE's female standard-bearer. WWE may view Flair as the one to build around, though 'The Empress of Tomorrow' is outperforming her.
