10 Ups & 2 Downs From Impact Wrestling (23 Feb)

6. XXXL Get Their Chance

Albeit in a non-title contest, XXXL looked like they belonged next to The Good Brothers during their match. Your writer will happily admit that he wasn't convinced Acey Romero and Larry D should be losing so soon after Larry's return from prison, but they had such a genuinely impressive performance that it didn't quite matter.

They both put in decent showings when trapped by Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson, and then when it was their turn to do the beating, they looked like serious threats as opposed to a comedy act. Having them take control of 'The Machine Gun' in the latter chunk of the match will help them immensely. A Magic Killer to Larry D may have secured a win for The Good Brothers, but it's XXXL who are the real winners here.

This showed that the duo are capable of hanging with the World Tag Team Champions, regardless of if the titles are up for grabs or not. They won't be the team to dethrone Gallows and Anderson, however, they could easily win the titles and not look out of place further down the line. Some solid booking in here.

A minor Down must be mentioned for the post-match backstage confrontation between The Good Brothers and FinJuice, though, as the latter essentially berated XXXL by saying it took Gallows and Anderson a good period of time to beat the pair. No place for that when it comes to Acey and Larry.
