10 Ups & 2 Downs From Impact Wrestling Bound For Glory 2019

2. Machine Vs. Draw

It was one of the most-anticipated main events in Impact history. Brian Cage and Sami Callihan built the perfect story, and it resulted in one of the best Impact World Championship matches in recent memory.

The addition of the no disqualification stipulation made it that extra bit special. Right off the bat, 'The Machine' busted open 'The Draw' by biting him in the head, and then scraping his wolverine claws across Callihan's head. Things only escalated from there, with Sami launching a chair at Cage's face that resulted in a burst lip, before he gave him a piledriver through a bit of the guardrail that was propped across some chairs.

When it came to the ending of the match, it was extremely well-orchestrated in terms of showcasing Brian Cage as a machine. He kicked out of a piledriver at one, before giving Callihan both a powerbomb and a Drill Claw on a pile of thumbtacks for the three count to remain the World Champion, and gain retribution for him and Melissa Santos.

Both men absolutely killed it in this match. The main events of the Impact pay-per-views this year have near enough all been based around telling a good story while still putting on a terrific match. This one was no different, with the exception of the brutality. Hats off to both lads here.
