10 Ups & 2 Downs From Impact Wrestling Bound For Glory 2019

1. Dream Match Delivers

Michael Elgin vs. Naomichi Marufuji didn't have too much of a story coming into it, but it didn't even need one. The action alone was enough to garner an absolute barnstormer of a match between the pair.

Mere minutes into the match, Elgin had already been taken off his feet on more than one occasion, firstly due to Marufuji's force, and then by his own choice when he dished out a suicide dive. As the action continued to pick up, so did the crowd, who had been fairly quiet in the early stages of the bout. 'Big Mike' used his superior power advantage throughout the match here with a gorgeous falcon arrow gaining him a two count, whereas 'The Junior Genius' used some strikes to wear down the big Canadian.

After Marufuji kicked out of both a multi-strike combo, as well as a buckle bomb/Elgin Bomb duo, Elgin realised he had to bust out something special to win this one. That's when he hoisted the Pro Wrestling NOAH sensation up on to his shoulders and planted him on his neck with an incredibly vicious-looking burning hammer for the three count.

What an incredible match. It may not have the good story that some of the other matches on the card had, but it still provided one hell of a bout between the pair. That's all you need in wrestling sometimes.
