10 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Oct 28)

Wardlow MJF
AEW

Dynamite opened with another tease of the impending MJF/Wardlow split, as MJF interrupted 'The War Dog' before he could answer Dasha's first question, then asserted that if Wardlow wins the tournament and becomes AEW World Champion, 'The Salt of the Earth' will take the belt. Everything Wardlow has is Maxwell's, as he is employed by MJF and not AEW, and MJF forced reluctant agreeance from his charge.

Good manipulative stuff from MJF here, giving Wardlow yet another reason to eventually smash the guy in a huge, cathartic face turn, making him a star in the process. That move should still be months away, though.

Segment dovetailed nicely into MJF's issues with The Inner Circle. He mocked a fired-up Sammy Guevara ("hey little buddy, nice jacket!") as he interrupted the interview, with 'The Spanish God' claiming he was gonna make sure Max never joined the power stable. MJF was condescending as hell in response, but Sammy was focused entirely on "thinking about all the things I'm gonna do about it."

The MJF/Guevara dynamic is low-key one of the most compelling things about this Inner Circle business, as the potential new protege looks to usurp the old.
