10 Ups & 3 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Aug 9)

4. Behemoths Collide

When a match began between Stone Rockwell and Nate Mattson, the majority of fans watching likely assumed someone was coming out to interfere. Considering neither is featured prominently in Impact, it was a bit random to see the bout, but what wasn't random was when Rhino stormed the ring, and delivered a Gore to both individuals before calling out Michael Elgin.

After a bit of smack talking between the pair, the rivals brawled with one another before things were broken up by security. The audience were chanting 'let them fight', showing that it's a rivalry that people are invested in. When you've got two big brutes going toe to toe, you can usually expect good things.

This is what we should be getting from them, as opposed to last week's offering of cutting backstage promos on each other. 'The War Machine' and 'Big Mike' are clearly leading to a match further down the line, and no-one wants to hear them chat about why they dislike the other. Just have them beat the living hell out of one another until we get to the match.
