10 Ups & 5 Downs From Impact Wrestling (May 5)

2. Sami Talks The Talk

It's no surprise at this point that Sami Callihan is one of the best talkers in Impact Wrestling today, maybe even Impact history full stop. That fact was, once again, reminded to us as he opened the first Impact post-Rebellion, being joined in the ring by both Michael Elgin and recent rival Ken Shamrock. Without any doubts, 'The Draw' was clearly the star of the segment.

Elgin entered just as Shamrock extended his hand to Callihan, with the man behind ICU claiming that 'Big Mike' was receiving the same sort of crowd reaction that he usually gets. It helped that both Elgin and Shamrock didn't say or do anything of positive importance - for example, 'The World's Most Dangerous Man' listed off some of the names he's tapped out including The Rock and The Big Show. Seeing as Sami passed out in their match, Ken basically stated that the now-former oVe member was tougher than both of those wrestling icons.

It's moments like this that make Sami turning on Madman Fulton and the Crist brothers even better. He doesn't need anyone by his side because he's simply one of the most talented performers out there, especially when it comes to mic work. Good stuff from the former World Champion here.
