10 Ups & 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (May 21)

6. Bayley & Becky Triumph

Bayley and Becky Lynch vs. Lacey Evans and Charlotte Flair was as close to an all-star women's tag match as WWE can deliver at the moment. It was the Raw and SmackDown Champions against the two most recent contenders, and this solid, well-crafted bout ticked the right boxes.

While nothing blowaway, the action delivered. It was three seasoned TV wrestlers and a promising up-and-comer keeping it simple without sacrificing the necessary story beats. Here, got Flair controlling traffic for her side, just as she'd done in her and Lacey's post-match beatdown of Lynch at Money In The Bank, while Bayley and Becky showed the kind of cohesion you'd expect from two performers who came through developmental together.

There were a couple of teases that we might soon see Bayley vs. 'The Man,' particularly after 'The Hugger' had scored the victory, with the duo looking a little cagey as they celebrated. That'll be one hell of a bout if it goes down on pay-per-view, so let's keep those fingers crossed.
