10 Ups & 6 Downs For WWE In 2023 (So Far)
1. The 2023 Draft
Everyone is in agreement that the WWE Draft is little more than a hollow excuse to promote "special" episodes of Raw and SmackDown at this point, right? Many figured things might be different this year with Triple H calling the shots, but no. It's been another messy situation.
Here's the strange thing: WWE is responsible for f*cking up their own formatting. If they knew that Rhea Ripley would be winning the SmackDown Title at 'Mania, and Bianca Belair would still be Raw's champ, then why did they pen brand hops for both without clearing up the title scenes first?!
That's just thick.
Other problems have popped up too. AJ Styles, for example, rolled out on Monday's Raw despite being a SmackDown guy. It's been less than a full month since Styles was on Mondays, guys. Come on now. Adam Pearce pretending he has to justify this to some unnamed higher-up on the phone was laughable too.
