10 Ups & 6 Downs For WWE In 2023 (So Far)

Ups...

10. Legitimately Fresh Faces

Grab a beverage and raise your glass, because there's a ton of good to get through.

Perhaps the only positive thing about this year's Draft is that it put some deserving NXT stars in the spotlight on Raw and SmackDown. Alba Fyre, Isla Dawn, Cameron Grimes, Indi Hartwell, Apollo Crews, JD McDonagh, Zoey Stark, Pretty Deadly, Katana Chance, Kayden Carter, Grayson Waller, Indus Sher and Odyssey Jones were all bumped up.

Of those, Grimes, Fyre and Dawn, Pretty Deadly, McDonagh and Stark have made promising early impressions and seem to have a really good chance of becoming main roster stalwarts. It's lovely to have some fresh faces on these shows after seeing the same old, same old.

All will be forgiven if WWE manages to get some of these lads and lassies over long-term. If nothing else, being able to tune into the top two shows and know you'll see energetic newbies throughout the second half of 2023 is very welcome.
