10 Ups & 8 Downs From AEW Fight For The Fallen

7. Allie's Carry Job Doesn't Pay Off

Allie Brandi Fight for the Fallen
AEW

Allie is a very, very good professional wrestler, and her performance vs. Brandi Rhodes was a highlight.

The former Impact Wrestling star sold everything from Awesome Kong's unexpected arrival to Brandi's constant heeling perfectly. Her facial expressions were on-point as she cycled through everything between "p*ssed off" and "fired up," and the rest of her work was similarly strong. Her ring IQ, movement, and execution are on a different level to those she's wrestled so far. Give her a promotion ASAP.

Unfortunately, Allie's work wasn't enough to save the bout form the Downs section. It wasn't awful; just below average, and perhaps we should have seen this coming. Brandi has less than 50 matches to her name. She's still very much a work in progress and it'll likely be a long, long time before she can keep up with someone like Allie.

Allie had Brandi tapping out while the referee had his back turned. This cost her in the end, as Rhodes took the victory with the Bionic Knee.
