10 Ups And 11 Downs From WWE Royal Rumble 2020

8. Wasting Morrison’s Big Return

There were several gripes with the men’s Royal Rumble, and one of the biggest had to be how they just completely jobbed out John Morrison.

Morrison returned to WWE recently, and while you’d think they’d try to bill him as a top-level star, you’d be wrong. He’s partnered back up with Miz – because 2007 is in-style again, apparently. But the Rumble was even worse.

The Shaman of Sexy entered at #5, right in the middle of Brock Lesnar’s rampage, and he made short work of the former ECW Champion, tossing him in mere seconds. No near-elimination, no flashy ringwork, no offense, no nothing.

They could have had Santino Marella make his return here and just let Morrison sit the Rumble out if this was the best they had for him.
