10 Ups And 11 Downs From WWE Royal Rumble 2020

4. Main Roster Failings

It says a lot about the state of the women’s rosters on Raw and SmackDown when you look at this year’s Royal Rumble figures.

There were 29 eliminations during the Rumble, with one of them (Santina Marella) eliminating “herself.” Of the remaining 28, only 10 came from main roster superstars (seven of which came from two: Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair). The remaining 18 were the product of NXT wrestlers, who also comprised nearly half the field of competitors.

That means the main roster women are so depleted that they could barely fill half the slots for a 30-woman Rumble, and aside from two of them, they could barely eliminate a soul.

That’s pretty damn embarrassing, quite frankly.
