Punch, walk around. Kick, walk around. Big move, pin, 2 count.

Repeat as desired.

That about describes the Falls Count Anywhere match between Shane McMahon and The Miz, which as predicted took place mainly outside the ring. As brawls go, it wasn’t that bad, but it overall was a fairly plodding match. When Miz’s dad George getting his a** kicked is a highlight, you’ve got problems.

On the plus side, Miz showed more fire than he has in some time, and his big bump at the end – a superplex off the camera tower through a crash pad below – was pretty impressive. But even then, it was Shane who won because he landed on top of Miz.

By the way, it’s worth mentioning that Shane kicked out of being put through a table, knocked off a 10-foot ledge and hit with a Skull-Crushing Finale on a plywood platform. Because of course he did.
