This is one of those love-it-or-hate-it moments, so if you disagree, it’s understandable.

You just had to believe that Curt Hawkins was going to snap his 269-match losing streak in epic fashion, and winning the Raw Tag Team Championship… at WrestleMania 35… near his hometown was about the most epic way possible.

Hawkins and Zack Ryder defeated the Revival in a match that lagged a bit throughout, but built sympathy and set the table nicely for Hawkins to rise to the occasion. Everyone wiped out on the floor, leaving just Scott Dawson and a barely conscious Hawkins.

But Hawkins managed to slip a small package for the win and the titles. The fans were behind them, and we got a feel-good moment akin to Ryder winning the Intercontinental Championship at WM 32.

And like Ryder’s IC title reign, this is likely to be a short-lived one for Hawkins & Ryder, as in it might end on Raw.
