When WWE decides to deliver the ultimate reward to fans, they don’t disappoint. And fans have been clamoring lately for Kofi Kingston to be rewarded for his 11 years of service to the company.

So Sunday night, Kingston competed against Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship. The two battled back and forth in a competitive, hard-hitting match that had fans hanging on every move. Kofi drew chants throughout as he fought back and battled out of submission holds, kicked out of the running knee, and traded blows with Bryan.

Just when it looked like Bryan was going to snuff out Kofi’s dream, Kingston rallied, nailed a Trouble in Paradise, and captured his first WWE Championship, sending MetLife Stadium into a genuine frenzy. It was deafening.

To top it all off, Big E and Xavier Woods presented Kofi with the original WWE Championship title (complete with new side plates), making this a really cool moment.
