10 Ups And 13 Downs From WWE WrestleMania 35

12. Another Battle Royal, Another Cheap Ending

Remember when the first Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal was a big deal, part of the main card at WrestleMania 30 and highlighted by Cesaro slamming Big Show out of the ring? Many thought the battle royal could serve as a launching pad for wrestlers.

Now, it’s something to occupy the kickoff show and squeeze a bunch of guys onto the card. This year, it became a bad joke. Colin Jost and Michael Che from Saturday Night Live “participated” in the battle royal, immediately hiding under the ring for the entire bout as everyone got tossed rapid-fire.

Jost and Che re-entered the ring (didn’t we just see someone sneak back into the battle royal at the end an hour earlier?) and tried to eliminate Braun Strowman, to no avail. Braun would quickly get his revenge, but not before Jost tried to have his therapist calm him down.

Yes, this was a match that happened. At least Braun won convincingly.
