5. Entertaining Characters Entertain
Seth Rollins Survivor Series team for Monday Night Raw was a great example of how you can have completely different personalities shoehorned together and have to coexist. The team also served as a reminder that effective heels come in different packages. Rollins of course is a smarmy, cocky, chickens*** heel who is ungodly talented in the ring but is neutered by his bosses at times. Despite an underwhelming world title reign, he still is able to be perfectly watchable. Then you have WWE Tag Team Champions New Day and Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens, polar opposites but equally dangerous. Owens is all business, while New Day loves to constantly have fun at everyones expense. The trio quickly formed an air band to play Rolling down the aisle. If you didnt snort while laughing at that, you probably had your sense of humor removed. Owens wanted nothing to do with that, nor did he participate in the unicorn stampede the stomps on an opponent in the corner though Rollins did. When Owens did hit a cannonball in the corner, he immediately freaked out on Big E for gyrating in the ring. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKKeqKvCpZQ All of this just showed the different personalities and how they didnt quite mesh but still managed to function as a unit. It also showed how well developed their characters are. It was entertaining all on its own, in addition to a competitive, fun match.
