10 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Nov 2nd)

3. God Of Thunder€ And Lightning

Let€™s face it: The Undertaker and Kane are winding down their respective careers. Neither man is going to be competing on a semi-regular basis in another five years or so, and once they retire for good, WWE€™s mythical, supernatural characters will disappear from existence. It will be the end of an era in a different way than just watching to Attitude Era stars retire. So it made sense in many ways to have Bray Wyatt, the one man on the roster who could pull it off, absorb Taker and Kane€™s powers after the Wyatt Family abducted the Brothers of Destruction last week. Bray claimed he harvested the two men€™s souls, then summoned the thunder and lightning, setting the ringposts ablaze after lightning struck them. It was reminiscent of so many Undertaker moments throughout the years. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VC2qFI9A-9E While some will probably find the moment campy, remember that Taker has been doing this act for 25 years (minus the couple as the American Badass) and few accuse him of being hokey. Wyatt appears to be WWE€™s answer to the question of whether they will be able to replace Undertaker€™s supernatural character with another, and giving him the Deadman€™s powers was an interesting step in that direction. It also will be interesting to see how Taker and Kane return to action after allegedly having their souls stolen.
