10 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Nov 2nd)

2. Divas Match With Stakes

One of €“ if not €“ *the* biggest criticisms leveled against the Divas Revolution the past few months has been the absence of any stakes in any of the multitude of matches between the three three-woman teams. We€™ve seen Team BAD, PCB and Team Bella do battle all summer into fall with little in the way of an end goal, aside from Charlotte finally toppling Nikki Bella. (It was so bad that no one seemingly noticed that Nikki was the Divas Champion and wanted a title shot until just before she set the longest-reign record.) But Monday, we got a fatal fourway bout between Becky Lynch, Brie Bella, Paige and Sasha Banks for the number one contender€™s spot and a title shot at Survivor Series. The four women put together a pretty good match, hitting strong moves throughout and keeping the action moving despite some sloppy spots here and there. It was an indication of what this Divas Revolution could be if they give the women a reason to be out there each week other than another six-woman tag match. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5tZlzyEm7A In the end, Paige pulled out the win after everyone hit their finishers on each other. That really shouldn€™t come as a surprise, as the Anti-Diva is the logical opponent for Charlotte after turning on her former teammates. But at least she earned her title shot by winning a competitive match, making the women€™s division look like a real, functional division. Kudos to all four women.
