10 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Nov 2nd)

3. WWE Is Trolling Fans, Right?

Cesaro did something Monday night that he hadn€™t done in nearly a month €“ win a televised singles match. In fact, it was only his third televised victory since October 1st. He€™s lost six matches in that time. Why is that significant in any way? Listen to how the announcers rave about Cesaro and point to the €œCesaro Section€ signs (and the cameras zoom in on the hundreds of fans sporting them). Monday, the trend continued as the announcers gushed about Cesaro€™s freakish strength and conditioning and how popular he is with the fans. Sure he defeated Miz Monday night, but does anyone think that this will translate into something for him? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bK1HBSqPehc It€™s tough being negative about this, because it was an enjoyable little match, but in the greater context, you can€™t help but feel like WWE is trolling us, giving fans false hope that Cesaro€™s popularity and talent will lead to an actual push. Until proven wrong, this cloud sadly will hang over the Swiss Superman. That doesn€™t mean we can€™t enjoy his performances in the interim, however.
