Oh please let this actually lead somewhere… anywhere.

During the car crash that was a SmackDown 12-man (six team) tag match, we got a glimmer of hope that WWE finally has gotten the message regarding one of its acts, that it’s become stale beyond belief. Of course, we’re talking about the Usos. The brothers were one of the hottest acts in the company in 2014 into 2015, but ever since getting back into action late last year, they’ve increasingly heard boos from fans. That might be due in part to their relationship with cousin Roman Reigns, but mostly, they’re the same interchangeable, indistinguishable wrestlers they’ve been for years.

Sunday, the tag match broke down, leaving newcomers American Alpha with Simon Gotch. Jason Jordan hit the corner spear and tagged in Chad Gable to set up Grand Amplitude, but one of the Usos hit a blind tag on Gable and then hit a splash on Gotch to steal the pin.

It was a simple act, but stealing the pin like that sets the tone for the Usos to become increasingly jealous/resentful of the hot new act, American Alpha, and hopefully will lead to a full-on turn for the Samoan brothers.
