Sonya Deville has excelled as an on-screen authority figure, yet, as a former-MMA fighter, she has a great level of untapped potential. Her withdrawal from the ring due to the lingering trauma of a horrific stalking incident is understandable, and it's smart of Deville to prioritise her mental health.

Nevertheless, Sonya is edging closer to returning to in-ring competition full time, teaming up with Shayna Baszler in a handicap match against Naomi. With Deville continuing to provoke and feud with Naomi a match is seemingly the only way to settle this.

There are many ways that Deville could transition from or integrate her roles. However, appealing to professional wrestlings love of the self-referential, Sonya could take inspiration from Vince McMahon's controversial win at the 1999 Royal Rumble, using her power and influence to engineer a way to screw her rival out of the win and the covet championship shot at WrestleMania.

Before she returns to being a combat athlete, Sonya Deville needs one last grand abuse of power and there's no better night to do it than at one of the most beloved and hyped nights in WWE's calendar...
