9. Triple H Is Put Back In Charge Of Talent Relations

The one thing Triple H can take solace from his current professional strife is that Vince McMahon's decision-making is cyclical even if pro wrestling isn't.

The beloved era of NXT was founded on objective evidence that John Laurinaitis had profoundly failed to blood in a sold next generation of WWE Superstar, and after 'The Game' had made that perfectly clear on television, he set about trying to do it himself.

The results were mixed to say the least, but a generation of wrestlers liked by the audience but hated by McMahon himself spoke to just how complicated it is to make anything work in the company regardless of your familial links or backstage - ahem - pedigree.

But 'The King Of Kings' need only wait. Ousted from his spot once and for all in 2021 after minor demotions along the way, Hunter might as well sit back and relax as McMahon and sidekick Bruce Prichard almost certainly fail to enliven the developmental system. When Laurinaitis takes the blame for that, the prodigal son-in-law can slide back.
