10 Vicious Wrestling Brawls Nobody Talks About

5. DDP Vs. Raven (WCW Spring Stampede 1998)

The sheer beauty of WCW's pay-per-view brilliance in 1998 lay in the fact there truly was something for everybody. Take Spring Stampede 1998 for example: if fans didn't like the Cruiserweight action between Chavo Guerrero and Rey Mysterio, they could enjoy stars like Randy Savage and Sting in the main event, or the 'Baseball Bat On A Pole' Match including the likes of Hollywood Hogan and Roddy Piper.

As if that wasn't enough, a 'Raven's Rules' encounter had Diamond Dallas Page desperately fighting off The Flock to retain his WCW US Title. Most point to Spring Stampede 1997 for DDP's impassioned match opposite Randy Savage, but this is every bit as enjoyable.

Essentially a Hardcore match dressed up to suit Raven's cult-like character, the Raven's Rules bout from Spring Stampede '98 has everything. There's even, quite literally, a kitchen sink.

Many of Raven's battles from this time are worth watching, and this is one of his finest moments inside a WCW ring. The curious fact that DDP vs. Raven isn't lavished with way more attention must confuse every longtime fan of both.
