10 Vince McMahon WWE Creations Triple H Must Destroy

7. All Those WWE-ified Words

Let's get one thing out of the way first: "Superstar" is tolerable, and it actually comes from a good place. Vinnie Mac wanted to present his wrestlers as better than everyone else's. There's nothing wrong with that, so it can stay put. Besides, "WWE Superstar" even sounds right when one says it.

Other terminology has been way too forced though.

Little idiosyncrasies like telling announcers to call hospitals "local medical facilities", or banning them from saying the word "wrestling", will hopefully fall by the wayside now Vince has retired. Triple H is a pro wrestling guy, after all, and it's been refreshing to hear guys like Michael Cole refer to workers as "wrestlers" on commentary since July.

Those incremental changes will, in theory, lead to terms like "belt", "fans" and more returning to the day-to-day WWE lexicon. Boasting about massive events called WrestleMania then pretending you don't produce wrestling never made a lick of sense anyway.
