10 Ways A Brand Split Would Help WWE Right Now

9. Give More Stars The Chance To Shine

Tyler Breeze is a perfect example of a superstar who would benefit from a brand split in 2016. Since moving up to the main roster, Breeze hasn't been in a meaningful feud except trading wins with Dolph Ziggler for the first month of his run. If Breeze was exclusively on SmackDown, he'd be able to move higher up the card, be more heavily featured and get more promo and ring time which would, in theory, help him connect with the TV audience and build up his stock in the company. A lot of mid card level stars would be better off in a brand split environment, because the rosters being split in half would allow more opportunities on both sides. When Cesaro returns from injury, he's automatically in the top 3 or 4 babyfaces of whichever roster he goes to, which means he can make more money and build his profile. The fans win because they get more of the Swiss Superman. It's well known within wrestling that there is less pressure on the SmackDown side as it's out of the sight of Vince McMahon, so when Triple H is pushing to get guys and girls from NXT called up, it allows him a political powerplay in that he could draft the people Vince isn't keen on to the SmackDown brand, and McMahon's favourites can go straight to RAW. It's win-win.
