The Authority storyline has been going on for two and a half years with no end point in sight. It's a creatively crippling storyline due to one of the main heels being Stephanie McMahon who rarely gets her comeuppance physically. With a roster split, it would likely mean the end of The Authority or, at worst, only have to put up with them on one show. The WWE's product has gotten increasingly stale in the last six months, due to 3 hour RAWs, questionable booking, injuries and other factors. In a time when WWE drastically needs to focus on the future, a brand split would force them to do just that. A lot of young performers would be the main stars on both shows and force the fanbase to take them seriously as the legitimate top stars of today. Having two rosters also allows you to experiment with ideas on each brand, whether it's bringing in an exclusive division, introducing tournaments or bringing back legends to work programs with some of the up and coming stars who could use the rub to advance their careers. As Vince McMahon has said before, "It's time to shake things up around here". It's time.
