10 Ways Hulk Hogan Is The Most Ridiculous Human Ever

4. Hulk Hogan, MMA Fighter

While it's one thing to claim to have worked with a post-UFC Brock Lesnar, it's something else entirely from Hulk Hogan to hear him big up his own MMA credentials.

According to the Hulkster in several interviews - such as this one with Melbourne's Herald Sun - he actually had the opportunity to compete at UFC 1 back in 1993. While he did consider that offer, ultimately Hulk cited excessive violence and slack referees as swaying his decision to take a pass on this.

When asked about this on X, UFC co-creator Campbell McLaren immediately labelled such talk as "bulls**t".

If this wasn't enough, a 2011 appearance on the Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton Show (via ProWrestling.net) saw Hulk claim to have fought PRIDE Fighting Championships stars during the WWE Hall of Famer's time in Japan back in 1977.

One glaring error there, is that Hogan didn't wrestle in Japan until 1980, but the more notable element of this bizarre claim is that PRIDE didn't even come into existence until 1997 - a whole 20 years after Hulk claimed to have fought the organisation's fighters.

Away from actually competing in the cage himself, an appearance on the This Past Weekend podcast last year saw Hogan also claim that he and Vince McMahon nearly purchased the UFC during the organisation's early years.

Then there's countless Hulk tales of having "shoot" matches with heavy hitters such as Antonio Inoki, Tatsumi Fujinami, and Nick Bockwinkel. All "shoots" that Hogan obviously was the victor in.
